5 Tales of Camelon was a 2019 intergenerational schools project looking at local history. The project was a collaboration between P3s and P4s (at Carmuirs and Easter Carmuirs Primary Schools) and older residents.

Oral histories from the residents formed the inspiration for the school children, who made 5 short fantastical films about the town - full of aliens, huge fishes and haunted smells. Over three months the children learned new skills while bringing local history to life; working with artists Mina Heydari-Waite, Mark Bleakley, Emma Finn, Tim Fraser and Gemma Crook to storyboard their narratives, make costumes, create foley sound effects, gain confidence in performing, animate backgrounds and film green screen video footage.
