Community events in 2021-2022
In 2021 we collaborated with Our Place on a series of outdoor events in the community and as we move into the new year we’ll be teaming up again to bring more art, fun and games throughout the area.
Gather and play
A hands-on day of games, greening, safe place making and art with Our Place Camelon and Tamfourhill and Tidy Clean and Green.
Workshops were led by artists Gregor Horne and Theo Christy from Gallery Malmo, Mark Bleakley and Alice Dansey-Wright.
An exhibition of sign paintings by Canal College Artists made during a workshop with Rachel Millar were displayed along the Camelon Juniors Football Club perimeter wall.
Active traVEL PARADE
A couple of weekends later we joined up with Our Place again to launch Camelon and Tamfourhill’s first Active Travel Parade as part of Fun In The Park - Easter Carmuirs.
FUN FOR THE FUTURE
On Friday 11th of February we teamed up with John Hosie from Our Place and Tidy, Clean and Green again to think about uses for the spaces in and around the Camelon Juniors carpark. Alongside the community engagement, participants also made some fantastic fashion accessories!
