In July 2021 signpainter and lettering artist Rachael E Millar facilitated a series of signwriting workshops with participants of Canal College.

The workshops introduced the practice of sign painting and graphic design, inviting participants to take inspiration from their history in the area. Each participant painted a sign based on their own research. The signs will soon be exhibited along the canalside and at some of the locations they take inspiration from.
